A conversation, then a written brief we both sign off. If we disagree about the problem, better to find out here than in week six.

Direction
Two or three distinct directions, not twenty variations of one. You pick a direction rather than assembling one from parts.

Build
The bulk of the work. Fortnightly check-ins with something real to look at each time — no month-long silences.

Review
Two structured rounds of revision. Consolidated feedback, not a drip of notes.

Handover
Files, accounts, guidelines and a written guide to maintaining it yourself. Plus a month of questions answered free.
